Basic Causes of Disease – 6 Secrets to Improve Your Health

To fight the basic causes of disease and improve your health you can follow these 6 simple secrets as practiced in the Hippocrates health lifestyle.

1.       Get the right amount of sun

2.       Bring more oxygen into your life

3.       Hydrate properly with the right kind of water

4.       Exercise

5.       Rest

6.       Consistent positive thinking and a positive environment

Sun

Spend 20-30 minutes in the outdoors EVERY DAY. Sit or walk in sunlight. Make sure to cover any sensitive parts of your body. The best times to be outdoors are before 10:00AM and after 3:00PM. Sunlight is the best immune-system builder.

Oxygen

Learn to breathe deeply, especially when you are near sources of oxygen (the ocean, fields and forests, running streams, greenhouses, air-purifiers that produce oxygen, etc.). if you live in a polluted environment, purchase an air-purifier that creates oxygen for your apartment or home. Eat and juice plenty of sprouts. Use an oxygen-enhancer in your juices and drinking water.

Water

High-quality distilled or reverse-osmosis water is best for drinking, soaking seeds and nuts, and cooking. Other waters are potentially full of bacteria, viruses, parasites, inorganic chemicals, etc.

Every other day, take a hot bath for 20 minutes using sales and baking soda, ground ginger or green clay (one or two cups per bath) follows by a cold-shower rinse. This process pulls toxins - especially heavy metals - out of the body through the skin.  Filtered water should be used for bathing and showering.

Exercise

Adopt a regular exercise routine. Proper exercise increases energy reserves. Do stretching every day - once in the morning and once in the evening - for 10-15 minutes. Do resistance exercise three times per week for at least 30 minutes. Open and close each session with appropriate stretching, and use only safe equipment.

Do aerobic exercise four times per week for at least 30 minutes. The best types of aerobics are brisk walking, swimming, and rebounding. Finish with a short stretching routine. Skin-brush daily - before bathing or showering - for 3-5 minutes. Skin brushing loosens dead surface skin cells, stimulates acupressure points, and activates lymphatic drainage.

Rest

Listen to your body for rest cycles. For example, it is natural to rest for 30 minutes after each meal. For optimal cellular cleansing and rebuilding, do not eat or drink anything for three hours before you go to sleep at night.

It is important that you have sufficient uninterrupted sleep during the night. Fast on juices one day per week. Drink only freshly-squeezed juices, distilled water, and gerbil teas, consume at least three quarts of liquid on day of fasting, thereby giving your digestive tract a much needed chance to rest.

Consistent Positive Thinking and a Positive Environment

Be positive, and take responsibility for your life's circumstances. See every opportunity as opportunity to learn and progress. Create health by envisioning it and following the "guidelines" the come to you. Focus on that vision for two minutes before and after every meal. And - during those moments - be thankful for the opportunity that life is.

Learn to esteem yourself and love who you are. Create a self-esteem notebook in which, every night before you go to sleep, you write seven things that you like about yourself. Then - every three months for 30-60 minutes - review what you have written.
