What you need:

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 3 tbsps. olive oil
  • 2 tbsps. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (or more if desired)

In a saucepan, heat olive oil then saute garlic until brown and tender over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low before adding ketchup, brown sugar, white vinegar, water, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the mixture thickens.

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 cups steak sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup Italian-style salad dressing
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Pour steak sauce, honey, salad dressing, soy sauce and garlic powder in a blender or food processor and blend for 10-15 seconds until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Place any type of meat you wish to grill in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour honey soy marinade into the bag, seal and shake to coat meat well. Refrigerate for 3 hours to overnight before grilling meat.

Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken Marinade

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsps. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsps. minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt

Combine oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl. Add in mustard, parsley, pepper and salt and stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Pour lemon herb mixture over chicken pieces and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours to overnight before grilling.

Classic Sweet Rib Glaze

What you need:

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsps. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and stir to mix well. Cook over low heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the mixture thickens. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate at least overnight before using.

Spicy Strawberry Barbecue Sauce

What you need:

  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup minced ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps. habanero hot sauce

Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Stir until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Use as a marinade or brush onto meat or vegetables during the last 5 minutes of grilling.
